03 Placement
Industry Connect
The Institute–Industry Interaction Cell keeps PMC Tech’s teaching close to the industries its graduates join — through tie-ups and MoUs, training shaped by companies, industrial visits, internships and sessions with experts.

The tie-up
How a partnership works
Industry Connect, the Cell’s model for a tie-up, sets out what each side brings — and ends in training the two design, monitor and certify together.
To bridge the gap between academia and industry with customised industrial training that makes students industry-ready.
Industry brings
- Its manpower needs, domain by domain
- Visits to departments, to meet faculty and students
- What it expects of graduates, and inputs for their training
- A hand in developing the curriculum
- Monitoring of the training, and periodic assessments
- Internships for selected students
- HR screening and recruitment
Together
- Identify what the industry needs
- Train students on the industry’s inputs
- Monitor the training, both sides
- Assess it — and certify competence jointly
PMC Tech brings
- Its curriculum, with the value-added and soft-skill programmes it runs
- A hand in developing the curriculum
- Its faculty’s specialisations and domain expertise
- Students’ profiles, by area of interest
- Faculty visits to industry
And for industry’s own people. Training in recent trends in their fields, awareness programmes on national and global perspectives in design, manufacturing and management, and executive training with bodies such as CII, IIM, ASCI, ISTD, PMI and NID.

On campus
Where industry meets teaching
Industry is part of the teaching, not a visitor to it: a centre that works with companies, laboratories built with industry, and professional chapters that bring its people in.
-
Centre for Industry and Consultancy Services
An Industry–Institute Partnership Cell for visits, internships, industrial research and hands-on training — SIRO-recognised for 2024–27 — and a consultancy service for industry, from construction and e-mobility to IoT and sensors.
Research ecosystem -
Industry-linked laboratories
The Visionary Learning Community of India’s course in Japanese manufacturing practice, offered as an open elective, and FANUC’s CNC programming course in Mechanical Engineering.
Industry Linked Laboratory -
Professional chapters
The IEEE Student Branch (STB16611), and the SAEINDIA and ISHRAE chapters, whose talks bring engineers from companies such as Ashok Leyland and Bosch to the students.
