PMC Tech’s Training & Placement Cell prepares every student for work and brings employers to the campus. In 2023–24, 332 of the 381 students who sought placement were placed, through 38 campus drives.

How it works

How a student is placed

The Institutional Placement Officer and a placement coordinator in every department work with each student from the first conversation to the company’s decision.

  1. Guidance

    Counselling on the careers that suit each student — core engineering, IT, or State and Central Government service.

  2. Training

    Mock interviews, group discussions, case studies and sessions with industry experts; communication, presentation and career planning.

    How students are trained

  3. Pre-placement talk

    Once a company confirms its drive, it presents itself to the students on a date agreed with it.

  4. Tests

    Written tests, or online tests in the computer centre — up to 300 candidates at a time, and more when a drive needs it.

  5. Discussion & interview

    Group discussions and personal interviews, in rooms equipped for both.

  6. Placed

    Each year’s placements are counted in the Placement Cell’s report for the year.

The Cell

Who runs placement

Placement at PMC Tech is the work of Career Development and Industrial Relations (CDIR) — a Training & Placement Cell for students, and an Institute–Industry Interaction Cell for the companies they will work for.
