Department of Information Technology was established in the year 2007 with an intake of 120 students.
The Department of Information Technology is dedicated to fostering excellence in education, research, and innovation in the field of computing and information systems. The department offers a comprehensive curriculum covering areas such as software development, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data analytics, and networking. With a team of highly qualified faculty and state-of-the-art laboratories, it provides students with hands-on experience and industry exposure. The department actively collaborates with leading industries and research institutions to offer internships, workshops, and real-world projects. Its mission is to equip students with technical expertise and problem-solving skills to excel in the rapidly evolving IT industry.

Skills
A 10-day BYTS training programme for final-year students, 15–26 September 2026. It focused on core Java and Python concepts, coding, problem-solving and application development, to strengthen their technical competencies and prepare them for placements and industry requirements.
Through CodeTantra, 15–26 September 2026; a 10-day programme for second-year students. It focused on C programming concepts, control structures, functions, arrays, pointers, structures and file handling, with hands-on coding exercises.
Through Hero Vired, for final-year students. It focused on resume preparation, communication skills, aptitude, technical interviews, HR interviews, group discussions and interview strategies.
Through AWAKE, 15–20 July 2026; for final-year students. It focused on quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, verbal ability, problem-solving and time-management techniques, to prepare them for campus placements and competitive recruitment assessments.
14–18 July 2026; for second-year students. It focused on verbal and written communication, presentation skills, active listening, teamwork, leadership, confidence building and professional etiquette.
15–21 July 2026; for third-year students. It focused on quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, verbal reasoning, critical thinking, problem-solving techniques and time management.
